Rather that being smack dab in the middle of the Church Street area of Toronto, Central Spa is in the West End where an up-and-coming gay district is developing around such great hang-outs as The Beaver and the Hen House. A couple of us from SSB decided to check it out.įirst of all, Central Spa is in a very different location than most other gay bathhouses.
While a number of them are cruise-central places, where people are just looking to get laid and you don’t want to touch the walls (or anything really) some of them are solid places to have a great sauna/steam (and probably get laid too if that’s your thing).Ĭentral Spa falls into the latter category. Like any major urban center with a sizeable gay population, Toronto is home to a number of gay bathhouses. Warning for those that love saunas! The following place we reviewed is unbelievably awesome.
